IP address Setting in Windows XP
Step 01: Right Click on My Network Place Then Click on Properties.

Step 02: Then Right Click on Local Area Connection from Right Panel, Then Properties

Step 03: Then Right Click on Local Area Connection from Right Panel, Then Properties

  

Step 04: Then select [Show icon in notification are when connected], Then Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Then Click Properties.

Step 05: For DHCP (Automatic) Configuration you should select as below, Then OK.

Step 06: For Static (Manual) Configuration you should select as below:

Step 07: Then Press ok and then Close.
IP Address Check
Step 08: Click start Menu, Then run, Then Type “cmd” The Enter.




Remote Desktop Configure (Windows XP)
Step 01: Create a New user for remote Desktop
Step 02: Right Click on My Computer
Step 03: Click on Manage
Step 04: Click Local Users and Groups
Step 05: Right Click on New Users


Step 06: Put New User and password as your requirements
Step 07: You Must click User cannot change password and Password Never Expires.



Step 08: Click properties of My Computer

Step 09: Click Remote and then select [Allow users to connect remotely to this computer]


Step 10: Click Add user then click Advanced

Step 11: Click Find now then select remote users then ok.

Step 12:  Then Click Ok. Then Click ok. Then Apply.

Login to Remote Computer Desktop
           Step 13: Click Start Menu then run
           Step 14: Type “mstsc”

Step 14: Type “mstsc”. Then press Enter.
Step 15: Type Remote PC/Server IP Address then connect.

Step 16: Then Put username and password of Remote Computer/Server
After enter valid user name and password you will successfully login to Remote Computer


The End


Workgroup Setup and Computer Name
Step 01: Click properties of My Computer

Step 02: Click Computer Name the put Computer Description

Step 03: Then Click Change
Step 04: Then Put Computer Name [Mamun_PC as a Example]

Step 05: Then Change Workgroup Name. You should remember that Workgroup name of all computers in your LAN will be same.  
Step 06: Then Press ok and restart Your Computer.
Workgroup Access
Step 07: Click on My Network Place
Step 08: Click on View Workgroup Computes

Step 09: Then shows all computers of BANSIG8 Workgroup
Step 10: Then click on specific computer for access
